The Park 2011
The 2011 preseason is off to a fantastic start. The boys have shown dedication with hopes of improving from last year's uncharacteristic 4-25 season. Players are working extremely hard at getting bigger and stronger in the weight room knowing the OK Green will be as tough as ever and will be very competitive from top to bottom. The commitment of players coming in for 4-man workouts in the mornings and on the weekend has assisted in the improvement of our players as well. The team has high hopes knowing that players have more varsity experience coming back this year compared to last year's squad. Coach Veen is quoted as saying "We took our lumps last year while pulling up some young kids hoping to reap the rewards for the next couple of years. The 4-25 record was disappointing but it was also a little misleading in that we were in a lot of ballgames. Our inexperinece got the best of us in a lot of games with one or two bad innings shooting us in the foot. Experience is something you can't coach and we hope the experience we gained last year will be enough to get us over the hump to compete with the top teams in our conference and in our area."
